Job description
Job Overview Al-Imaan College, Saki is seeking a dedicated, knowledgeable, and practical-minded Chemistry Teacher to join our science faculty. The successful candidate will teach Chemistry to senior secondary school students, turning complex abstract concepts—like molecular structures, chemical equations, and periodic trends—into engaging, easy-to-understand lessons. We are looking for an educator who can safely guide students through laboratory experiments and prepare them for excellent results in school exams and external assessments (WAEC, NECO, JAMB). Key Responsibilities: ● Instructional Delivery: Plan and deliver structured lessons on secondary school Chemistry topics in line with the approved curriculum. ● Laboratory Management: Organize, set up, and supervise practical chemistry lab sessions (such as titration and qualitative analysis), ensuring strict adherence to laboratory safety protocols. ● Lesson Notes & Preparation: Develop detailed weekly lesson plans, instructional aids, and schemes of work ahead of time. ● Assessment & Evaluation: Construct, administer, and grade weekly quizzes, assignments, and terminal examinations to measure student progress. ● Classroom Leadership: Maintain proper order, discipline, and an encouraging learning atmosphere in the classroom. ● Moral Guidance: Support the school’s core values by mentoring students in character development, integrity, and academic discipline. Requirements & Qualifications: ● Education: Minimum of an NCE, OND, HND, or Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc / B.Ed) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Science Education, or a related field. ● Subject Expertise: Complete mastery of secondary school chemistry theory and practical concepts. ● Communication Skills: Ability to explain scientific principles, chemical formulas, and equations clearly and patiently to students with varying learning speeds. ● Professionalism: Highly punctual, organized, respectful of school regulations, and committed to student growth. Working Hours: ● 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM (Monday – Friday) Salary Structure: ● NCE / OND Holders: ₦40,000 monthly ● HND / Bachelor's Degree Holders: ₦50,000 monthly Important Security Notice: As a professional trusted with the welfare and academic mentorship of students, the successful candidate must provide a verified Statutory Guarantor through the Proxtunity legal screening framework prior to final placement.
