Job description
Job Overview We are seeking a warm, energetic, and qualified Early Child Care Teacher to join our foundation class team. As an ECCE specialist, you will play a vital role in the early cognitive and social development of our youngest learners. You will create a stimulating, safe, and happy environment where children feel secure enough to explore, play, and learn. Key Responsibilities: ● Play-Based Instruction: Design and implement age-appropriate lessons that use play, music, storytelling, and art to teach foundational concepts. ● Social Development: Guide children in developing social skills such as sharing, cooperation, and emotional regulation. ● Safety & Supervision: Maintain constant supervision of children, ensuring all activities are conducted in a safe and hygienic environment. ● Routine Management: Manage daily routines including meal times, rest periods, and toilet training (where applicable) with care and patience. ● Observation & Reporting: Monitor each child's physical and developmental milestones and provide regular, detailed updates to parents. ● Environment Setup: Create colorful and interactive classroom displays that stimulate curiosity and sensory learning. Requirements & Qualifications: ● Education: Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) specifically in Early Child Care Education (ECCE) or Pre-Primary Education. ● Specialized Knowledge: Familiarity with the developmental stages of early childhood and various teaching methods like Montessori or play-way. ● Soft Skills: Exceptional patience, a gentle tone of voice, and a high level of creativity. ● Physical Stamina: Ability to be active, bend, and move at the child's level throughout the day. ● Vetting: Successful candidates must complete the Proxtunity Statutory Guarantor process, as child safety is our top priority.
